Enome J. Amatey- Principal/Managing Partner at Primum Law

He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from the University of Calabar, Calabar and a Barrister at Law (B.L) from the Nigerian Law School. He is also a Notary Public, Chartered Mediator and Conciliator as well as a Professional Negotiator.

Enome possesses significant experience in dispute resolution (Negotiation, Mediation, Conciliation and Litigation), with an extensive experience as a trial lawyer in all Nigerian Courts and Tribunals in disputes spanning different areas, including oil spill and other environmental damage claims, election petitions, land, criminal and commercial litigation. He advises and represents a number of high-profile multinational clients in the Oil and Gas, Telecommunication, Construction, Information Technology and public sectors on diverse areas of law.

With his wealth of experience in the Petroleum, Construction, Labour and Investment sectors, he advises clients involved in various streams of operations within these sectors and routinely advises on some major transactions in these sectors. At various times, he has acted as external Counsel/Solicitor for a diverse sphere of clients, including; the Government of Cross River State, Independent National Electoral Commission, Mainland Oil & Gas Limited, Newcore Energy Limited, LEMNA Construction Co. Limited, Divine Ignition Point Limited, Honeywell Oil & Gas Limited, HOGL Energy Limited etc. His experience encompasses regulatory compliance, corporate structures, white collar (financial crime and anti-bribery) advisory and defense, antitrust and government relations.

Before founding Primum Law, Enome worked in a leading Calabar-based law firm, where he was a major player in the firm’s Dispute Resolution practice and helped the firm resolve complex disputes as well as advice various corporate, government and individual clients.
